Sticker Care Guide
Get the most life out of your Stickonia waterproof vinyl stickers.
Before you apply
- Clean the surface — wipe away dust, oil, wax, and moisture. Isopropyl alcohol on a lint-free cloth works well for many hard surfaces.
- Dry completely — moisture traps bubbles and weakens adhesive.
- Check temperature — apply in a moderate environment when possible (avoid freezing cold or extreme heat during application).
- Plan placement — measure and dry-fit before peeling the backing.
How to apply
- Peel slowly from the backing.
- Align carefully, then press from the center outward to push out air.
- Firmly rub the entire sticker, especially edges.
- For larger decals, use a soft squeegee or card wrapped in a soft cloth.
- Allow adhesive to set — give it time before heavy washing, rain exposure, or dishwasher cycles.
Everyday care
- Waterproof vinyl handles rain, bottles, and outdoor use when applied correctly.
- Avoid harsh scrubbing with abrasives or strong solvents on the printed face.
- On vehicles, wait before washing; avoid high-pressure jets aimed directly under edges for the first few days.
- For bottles and containers: hand wash is gentlest; if you dishwasher-test, use the top rack and avoid intense heat cycles when possible.
Name labels & school gear
Apply to clean pencils, notebooks, cases, and similar supplies. Smooth plastic and coated surfaces work best. Re-press edges if a corner lifts after a backpack day.
Removal
Warm the sticker gently (warm — not hot — air) and peel slowly at a low angle. Adhesive residue can often be removed with a little isopropyl alcohol or a mild adhesive remover safe for your surface. Always test a small hidden area first.
Storage (unused stickers)
Keep unused stickers flat, cool, and dry, away from direct sun until you’re ready to apply them.
